According to the statutes of AFANOC, the association is governed, administered and represented by the Board of Directors, which is composed of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and spokespeople. Each of these posts must be held by different people.

The election of the members of the Board of Directors, who must be associated members and of legal age, is carried out by vote of the General Assembly. The members of the Board of Directors exercise their positions without remuneration. The members of the Board of Directors will hold their positions for a period of three years, although they may be re-elected.

The Board of Directors, previously convoked by the president or by the person who is his/her substitute, will meet in an ordinary session with the periodicity determined by its members, and which must not be less than once every trimester. Obligatory meetings will be held before and at the end of summer holidays.

The Board of Directors will be constituted in a valid way if it has been convoked with prior notice and there is quorum of half plus one of its members.

The members of the Board of Directors are obligated to attend all of the meetings convoked although, for justifiable reasons, they can be excused. Attendance by the president or secretary or by the people who substitute them will always be necessary.

The Board of Directors will reach agreement by a simple majority of the votes of those in attendance.

The majority of the Board of Directors will be made up of families of children and teenagers with cancer.

There are no consulting bodies in the entity.

Normally, the Board of Directors meets on Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm each month, except in August.

No member of the Board will receive any payment of any kind for other work done for the organization. No member has interests in the outside companies or services that the entity contracts, whether personally or through companies.

Was a member of the founding collective of AFANOC since 1989, founding member of FECEC (Federación Catalana de Entidades contra el Cáncer) and FEPNC (Federarción Española de Padres de Niños con Cáncer).

Maite Montañés

(Lleida, 1972). President since 2017. Associated as a relative to the organization. Trained in techniques of relaxation and personal growth, Chi Kung and Yang style Tai-chi at the Centre de Medicina Tradicional China. She currently works as a sports technician at the Instituto Municipal de Deportes of the City Council of Lleida.

Siempre ha tenido una gran motivación para colaborar en diferentes asociaciones de carácter cultural y social. Titulada en estudios superiores de musicología, pedagogía musical y dirección de coros. Actualmente dedicada a la pedagogía musical y coordinando diferentes aspectos musicales en diversos ámbitos.

Narcís Serrats Macau (Barcelona, ​​1968). Vocal de AFANOC desde 2015. Es colaborador desde el año 2013. Vinculado como Amigo de la Entidad. De desde joven ya estaba metido en movimientos estudiantiles y comisiones de fiestas de barrio y pueblos del Alt Empordà. Vecino del barrio de Montbau, en el que ha participado en diferentes Asociaciones, comisiones y actividades vinculadas al barrio. Actualmente forma parte también de la junta de la Asociación de Vecinos de Montbau desde finales del 2010 donde ejerce de Tesorero. Desde 1988 trabaja en la empresa Sermicro y en la actualidad, ejerce de Director de Logística de la empresa Albatros Logistics (Grupo Sermicro).

Titulado en FP II contabilidad y finanzas, desarrollando durante 33 años su actividad laboral en el mundo financiero contable y los últimos 4 años como gestor de la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa. Actualmente gestiona una huerta ecológica donde tiene lugar de residencia en Vallgorguina. Regidor y Presidente Sección Local por Esquerra Republicana de Cataluña en el municipio de Vallgorguina.

Ha trabajado como administrativa en diferentes empresas privadas y actualmente dirige una empresa de técnicos audiovisuales Papersimes.

A part-time writer, he has written the novel Les 7 sales, the profits of which have been given to AFANOC.
